HP DOES NOT disable your PRINTER... They disable the CARTRIDGES.. Just remove the cartridges and put your own in...
You do not have to un-plug from internet...
Its the cartridges they control and monitor not your printer.

Hi first of all I was unaware of repeated purchases, I just wanted one time ink order. Then HP instant ink wanted to continue to monitor the use of my printing and bill my card they were given for purchasing the one time order! So I have to change my bank account information, so now HP instant ink has stopped future use of my printer!!! :-( . sent messages: Visit www.hpinstantink.comforinformation. So this is how I came across this page.

It clearly states that your printer will order the printer ink when it is needed! You're paying for the pages not the ink. You'll be charged every month for whichever plan you've chosen. If you go over your requested plan, it will charge $1.00 for each 25 pages over your desired plan! If you chose the 50 page plan, you'll be charged $2.99 + tax, if you printed 75 pages you'll be charged the $2.99, the $1.00 for those extra 25 pages and tax. If you only printed 20 pages of your 50, you'll still be charged the $2.99 + tax BUT those 30 pages you didn't print will go into your Rollover account. Hp Instant Ink is NOT a scam; you have to read the terms as with anything else you would sign up for. I have been with Hp Instant Ink for almost a year, they've been a life saver! I homeschool and have only spent $75 on ink, thanks to them! If I had bought the cartridges myself, I would have spent well over $200. As for controlling your printer, unhook it from the internet, they wouldn't be able to control it then. Smh. I very much dislike ignorance towards a company when its the consumer that isn't reading Terms and Conditions!!
