I have done a few contracts for this company, translating material from English to French. All of a sudden, Consuelo Speranza from HQLS, who was generally in charge of paying me for the work, decided to withhold a payment of 700$ USD. She gave the excuse that one of my past works, which she had already paid in full, had returned and was "of very low quality," and decided on her own to withhold 700$ USD from my other works. She claimed that this was necessary to pay for the proofreading of my past work, which she did not give me an opportunity to correct.

I then asked for proof that my past work had needed intense proofreading, demanding that she sends me the supposedly "highly corrected" versions of my past work. She sent the corrected version, which essentially had 1 sentence corrected per page and these corrections were mostly preferential corrections, not required ones. Clearly, the "proofreading" that she "needed" to order on my past work was not as "very low quality" as she pretended it was.

Ms. Consuelo Speranza from HQLS is a scammer who will betray you at the moment when she is in a best position to keep your money and let you down. She will show you that she is able to pay you through small contracts, and then when a big contract shows up, she will withhold the money and you will end up having worked a full week or two for no money at all. HQLS and Consuelo Speranza are a scam and you should stay away from them.
