Looks like my problem is not unique when HRS USA is concerned. I use online banking and sent a payment a week before the due date for my no interest purchase. Well, of course, it is posted to my account late and a $29 late fee was added to my balance. The problem is that when the next statement with the added fee arrived in my mailbox, I was out of town. I thought that I was fine because I set up automatic payments to pay more than the minimum balance each month before the due date. However, it was not enough to cover the added late fee. It was $5 short. Another $29 was added to the balance plus interest. I called customer service. They were willing to remove one of the late fees, but not the other. I explained the payment was sent in plenty of time, and the second late fee would have never occured if the first fee was not assessed. They would not remove it.

This company, also known as Household Credit who manages the GM Mastercard, has lost all my business. I cancelled my Best Buy and GM Mastercard. They will never charge another late fee to me again.
