Complaint Review: HSBC Bank USA

HSBC Bank Secretive, elusive management, secret address New York City New York

  • Reported By:

I have an HSBC Bank credit card. Initially it was with another bank but apparently was bought by HSBC. I have been trying to locate the address of the corporate offices, and the name of the Chief Financial Officer. I have been through an absolute maze of information and still have been unable to find a mailing address for Gerard Mattia, the CFO of HSBC. Why is this bank so secretive, and what are they trying to hide? If all their operations are on the up and up why hide their corporate address? I find it absolutely maddening that this bank wants everybody's business but wants to hide behind a corporate veil. Typical corporate attitude in America today.

If you don't know that you are "So Special," then you'll never understand why someone would need to contact a CFO. You are a debtor and that's why you think that the addresses posted on the bill or the website are sufficient. and you're right, they are sufficient for you, the debtor. This is what you are able to understand. Good luck with that.

I called the customer service number and asked for the address to send correspondence to the CFO and this is the address she gave me:

HSBC Bank USA, NA, Executive Office

PO Box 3448

Bullalo, NY 14240

My research shows Edgar Ancona as the North America CFO.  I hope any administrative processes will work on his level. However, now I'm trying to find the top CFO in Europe just in case.

Don't worry about those that "Know Everything." We know if you already know everything, you can't learn anything....

Looking for corporate officer address

I received several replies to my posting. Thanks to all who responded. I received some viable suggestions, although none were right on point. I do not need the cardholder service center, which is on the statement, for all to see. I specifically need the exact mailing address of the CFO. I can use the corporate address and hope the CFO is there.

Oh, by the way, for the respondent who asked what makes me so special? I try to distance myself from the one-brain-wave people who work for banks and financial institutions. The reason I need to contact the CFO? Way, way above your comprehension, Steve.

There is no secret here. The contact information is right on your statement.

I don't know of any bank/credit card that advertises the direct contact information of executive officers!

They don't want every whacko going right to the top.
That is why they have a CUSTOMER SERVICE #.

Call customer service! (503)293-4037

Mail inquiries to:
HSBC Card Services
PO BOX 80084
Salinas, CA. 93912-0084

Why do you feel that you are so special and have the right to go right to the top, bypassing regular channels?

It took about a 30 second seach to find their corporate address. Here are the ones for the US but just do a google search for "HSBC Corporate Address" and you will get right there.

HSBC Bank USA, N.A.
Address: One HSBC Center
Buffalo
NY 14203
Telephone:
Fax: +1 716 841 2424
+1 716 841 5391

HSBC - North America
Address: Corporate Headquarters
2700 Sanders Road
Prospect Heights
IL 60070
Telephone: +1 847 564 5000

The real question is why is this a RipOff?
