HSBC Discover Rewards Card Travelers Advantage Does HSBC with Discover Card Rewards want to rip you off too? Internet
With my HSBC Discover Rewards card I get a percentage back of what I spent in a check from them. I have got a couple of them. Then I got another check from them thinking it was another rewards check and I cashed it. But, that check was to enroll for Travelers Advantage if I cashed a $9 check. I didn't know that because it just looked like another rewards check. Therefore I got charged $59.99 from Travelers Advantage and I don't do ANY traveling.
I called Travelers Advantage up and they said I cashed this check so I enrolled. They told me they can take me off the list. I TOLD them "YOU ARE TAKING ME OFF THE LIST AND GIVING MY MONEY BACK RIGHT NOW!!!" I had to call HSBC to leave a message that they are just taking there company down because of this cause.

I get those "checks" too and they clearly state that cashing them means you agree to join in some kind of membership club... you need to be more careful and always read these things before just blindly cashing them.... you were not ripped off...
