I ordered two suits from Home Shopping Network--HSN--for a vacation to be taken in July. The suits were shipped one piece at a time (eight pieces), I was charged $6 everytime they shipped an item, and because of backorders, it took months to get the entire suits. They did come in time for my vacation.

As I wore the clothes, the pants became longer and longer. (They are a "slinky" knit.) I washed the suit according to directions, thinking that if it were "laid flat to dry," I might shorten the pants from their stretching. Well, they didn't shorten, and as they were worn again, they stretched massively! The pants are now fifty inches long. (I'm tall, but not THAT tall.)

I called HSN Customer Service, told them my story, and that I couldn't wear the suit until I had ALL of it, which took months, and wouldn't have known about the problem within the 30 days they usually expect returns within. They acknowleded that this was not just a customer not liking the item, etc, and that the fabric was defective, and told me to return the suit. (The other one will probably do the same thing. I haven't given it the test of wearing except for a couple of hours.)

I rounded up a box, took it to the post office, paid $12.50 to return it (I'd already spent $48 shipping to get the two suits).

Today, I got the box back marked "Refused". I called them, they acknowledged that I was told to return the suit on August 18 or 19 by their Customer Service, but said, "they had made a mistake". "Sometimes", they had made exceptions such as mine, but would not take this back. I am out $181.55 ($363.00 if the other suit does the same) for clothes which are unwearable due to defective fabric.

I have worn this type of fabric for several years, and have had excellent results from other companies. This is BAD fabric, and HSN is a BAD company to do business with.
