I wanted to plan a nice weekend getaway for a couple, two single parents, three teenagers, and two young children, so I sent a few dozen inquiries on HomeAway.com (I usually go to that site or VRBO.com) and happened to send one to this woman.
She called my cell phone and left two inflammatory voicemail messages, the content of which was harassing, to say the least. She accused me of running a scam on her because she had gotten two other similar inquiries. She said there was no way anyone could have six kids (my reservation request only included five). I am an attorney and my email inquiry included my firm name and mailing address --- a post office box. She criticized the use of my firm's name (which is my name with "Law Office of" in front) and mailing address and offered "a law firm with a post office box; get a life"!
I have been using web sites for years to reserve vacation rentals. This is the first time I've been treated so bizarrely disrespectful...ever!
If you're looking for a Lake Seminole rental property, skip this one.
This property owner has no dignity, humility, or self-respect. She has absolutely no idea how to operate a business that markets services to the general public.
