Complaint Review: Hughesnet

I can understand a fluctuation in speed based upon the "number of users". Speed will fluctuate, this is the reference made in Hughesnet Advertisement "up to 700k" and speeds may vary, it might be 200k but you could get 700k, fair enough.but Hughesnet promises "faster than dial up" which is not what they provide. It has been a dismal 4 months with broken promises, ineptitude and out right lies by the billing department, specifically a supervisor named Francis who claimed that there was "no way the billing department could remove the early cancellation fees, it was physically impossibl" and then in the next sentence said he could in fact do that very thing if certain conditions were metbut didn't really know what those conditions were.

If I have to spend $1000 on a lawyer to get the $400 early cancellation fee removed, then so be it. Justice sometimes comes with a price and Hughesnet are criminals

Modems get their name from their speed that is why they call them 56k modems or 28k modems or 14k modems...
