As a Stanford University Masters degree graduate in Engineering, I would like you to very surely know that not only was the entire burn-in circuitry testing module of Hughes Microelectronics, Ltd, in Glenrothes, Scotland practically and completely dysfunctional and useless in testing circuits - I tested it personally with a young male engineer - but particularly the older male Scottish staff is so prejudice, sexist, arrogant, utterly impractical, inhospitable with vain classist pretentions that even letters to the entire engineering staff while I was an intern at Hughes went utterly unanswered.

This company has broken and ineffective chains of command, very unprofessional.

This is a company that immediately begins exploiting international interns for whichever male Scottish engineer can sadistically, and I do mean dysfunctional and sadistically, use to their own benefit and aggrandizement. They are simply not really careful...not with interns, housing or engineering.

After travelling to over 50 nations and working internationally, I have more than the feeling that no company should purchase Hughes Microelectronics products of any kind; that various workplace abuse issues continue to go unsolved, and that company funds are variously wasted for management privilege.

This is surely that company that is not inspected properly and is still hiding uncovered and untold "secrets" of not only technological and testing dysfunction that endangers the lives of any who use Hughes Microelectronics products, but is sadistically, invasively and hurtfully abusing employees who might relay this information and save lives where night vision, military and industrial hybrids are used.

The utter b*****d that runs the hotel where I spent my first night as an intern from Stanford loudly and sadistically tried to humiliate me before a British manager of Hughes when I simply asked for a receipt for hotel expenses. The surrounding area is replete with puddles of throw-up from the dangerously drunk, unemployed, underpaid, diseased and impoverished Scottish population. These people have been abused, wicked, unnecessarily adversarial and diminutive for generations...stupid, vain pride taking precedence over even cursory good business, safety and intelligence.

Shut this company down for the safety of all military and industrial personnel.

Do not allow college/university students to intern at this firm. So very glad I quit and left early. Hughes Microelectronics... a company that can put up an act for a time, but one that is impossibly sociopathic and evil. Don't be fooled.

Stronger Case Against Hughes Microelectronics: Not competant to produce electronic equipment

#2Author of original report

Sat, January 03, 2009

Not a single engineer or member of the staff and management of Hughes Microelectronics in Glenrothes, Scotland ever had what it takes in there hierarchy, or, perhaps, the international responsibility and sophistiocation to even consider that the untested military hibrid circuits they produced clearly and surely led to the deaths of American military personel in the 1980's.

These are military night vision and tank guidance system components. They required an all female staff to work in a clean room with microscopes to make hundreds of bonds for hours of circuits that were a hair's lengh thick.

Not one of these hybrids was ever tested reasonably, let alone exhustively.

The children of these families walk through puddles of barf from drinking over the weekend each Monday as they come to work.

This company should be put out of business, and the engineers and owners of the company should be held internationally liable for military deaths and the deaths of pilots and tank "accidents".

I am confident that this company is still utterly irresponsibly run in ways that assure the products, which may have been in military storage waiting use, will never run nor be tested properly.

Make sure they are not used.
