I see we are many. Almotst enough for an Army. I too was sold the dream of "always on " It has been nothing but rip offs from the day "billy bob and his helper" came to install.
Money grab on the first day ! Was informed I had to pay them the activation fee and then Hughesnet hit my bank acct for twice the amount and every time you call customer-noservice they mysteriously have no prior record of your complaint. Must speak fluent pakystan or indy to figure that out and no I dont !
Okay now lets move on to 3rd day with service I slow down to a crawl. I call they advise me I have reached my FAP threshold and I MUST have been downloading lots of music and movies. After being slapped around verbaly I was told I could I be upgraded for an additional fee!
NOOOOO I listen to no music, watch no movies and have never done gaming. Just middle age surfing and checking my email!
Waited for 3 weeks then to be able to connect again. When I was able to I got 2 days and then was put on slow down again. So for Around 72 dollars a month I can be online surfing and checking my email for about 2 days.
To make a long story short after many calls and lectures from Hughesnet I have came here .....I am filing with BBB and FCC
They continue with our silence...We are many ,Every one unite !
