Hughesnet Bait and Switch - dial up slow sold for high speed - ADMITTED TO BY EXECUTIVE INTERNET
I have had Huhesnet service for 2 years now , and the service is getting worse as time goes on - to the point it is SLOWER than the dialup I had before . I have had 2 "technicians "out who were late both times and left my equipment in worse shape than when they got there ( one was 6 hours late and did nothing but monkey around and disconnect my router ) .
I spoke with a Hughesnet excutive representative , named Rebecca , who ADMITTED that since they have oversold thier bandwidth that they "control " the speeds they allow their customers to have, because if they didn'yt it would cause a bottle neck because there are too many customers for the bandwidth they have . Plus she admitted they have a way to get the equipment to work well for a short time while they the technicians there " fixing" your equipment (When they re-point the sattelite dish ) , but then it reverts to the slow speed later after they leave ." But I can " upgrade " and get good speed if I pay $120.00 a month ! WHAT !
I was told I would have high speed for the $69.00 a month that I pay , this was stated at the time of installation-NOTHING was said about it being controlled and having slow to non-exsistant service that would be slower than dial up at times - This is BAIT AND SWITCH ! TOTALLY ILLEGAL ! They advertise one thing and provide another . I just tried to pick up my e mail and it took 8 minutes for it to load !
I am wanting to institute a class action lawsuit against Hughesnet - I know I would win in any fair court , as I have kept my part of the bargain - but they have not . And there are as LOT of us out there ! Anyone else up for this ?
