Complaint Review: HUGHESNET

I purchased Hughesnet in April 2006 as it claimed to be broadband.

I have never had more than a few days of decent service since their install.

In July they took more than $500.00 from my account "accidently" and apologized profusely after doing it but took over a month for them to pay it back.
I set up invoice billing subsequently which cost me an extra $5.00 per month to avoid them taking whatever they wanted from my account whenever they wanted it as one of their supervisors said they could not guarantee it would NOT happen again.

Every month I write a check for more than the total due (I round up to the nearest dollar on all my invoice billing accounts).

This past month they cashed my check on the 15th--it wasn't due until the 17th--and failed to enter it on their end manually so I was locked out of my account.
When I called to complain about my internet service they informed me it was locked due to "non-payment". After looking into the matter they admitted their fault again with huge apologies but still failed to unlock the account. After a week of no service and many calls to their customer service folks with no resolution the account started working magically. I have called for cancellation which they won't accept without an early termination fee of $400.00 which I said was unacceptable. I asked for their CEO's address and phone number to let him or her know of these terrible business practices and all the trouble I have been put through and was told they don't give out that information. Funny since it's readily available on the internet---CEO, Pradman Kaul. Still no phone number though so I'm writing this report. This is NOT over until I get a hold of someone in corporate. Can someone help me?
