Well, I got a letter from humana saying that I had to pay them $4,000 for back pay that I suppositly "failed to pay." Thing is, they said this happened 3 YEARS ago and Im now getting a bill saying I owed them money. Hmm, wasnt that what they were to do? Help out people?
I knew I didnt owe them money and any decent business would let you know that you have an oustanding bill not wait 3 YEARS TO TELL YOU!!!
Not only that, the letter stated that I had to pay the bill by the 4th and I had gotten the bill on the 3rd. WTH?! Where was I gonna get that money. If I didnt pay, they would cancel my insurance. Odd this came around when I was to have surgery. Hmm.
I called them up but whenever I was transfered, I'd get the dial tone. I had it and went to the location on post.
So, I go to the location, located a Fith army base and talk to the lady there. She said that I did have an outstanding bill and if I didnt pay, She would personally file crimminal charges against me for insurance fraud. WTF?!
I told her 'Why should I be charged with anything? Youre the one who works with a company that fails to notify people of 'oustanding bills' three years later."
"talk to your congressman."
"Oh I will."
'Ill see you in court." the lady said.
A I was leaving the backroom, another humana victim was complaing about a letter he had gotten, stating the same thing."pay up $4000." So, it wasnt only me.
I was force to pay and they did cause problems afterwards. I went with another company also.TOTAL RIPOFF CON ARTIST!!! Stay away from them.

Assuming you don't owe them money, show them proof of payment. Problem solved.

I don't understand. IF you are in the military or a family memeber, you get FREE medical, so why would you need medical insurance?.
