I moved into a property managed by Hunter Rentals. I put down a $300.00 dollar deposit plus a $350.00 pet deposit. When I moved the company did a walk thru inspection and obviously found some things that needed to be corrected. No pet damages. The dog was an outside dog. I hired them to clean the carpets. There was a large stain on the carpet from where the water heater broke and flooded the living room (destroyed my cherry wood curio cabinet. They acknowledged that the water heater was faulty but it was my fault that the furniture stained the carpet.I asked the manager specificly if the pet deposit was separate from the house deposit.

She answered yes. When I got the refund it was for $48.00. I called to inquire and they told me that instead of the $168.00 for the carpet cleaning they had to do it twice. (168 X 2). They added everything from a $5.00 burned out light bulb to $20 for curtian rods (2ea) that the painters moved. They charged me $20 for a screen that was there when we did the joint walk-thru inspection. The bottom line is someone went back thru the house a couple of days later and reinspected it. The family that lived in the house before us told us that Hunter Rentals would do this to us because they did them the same way. RIP Off Specialists.
