I was recently evicted from my apartment in Greenville, South Carolina, Hunting Ridge. The problem came when my sons were shot at by another tenent. We called the police as well as let the complex know what had happened. Nothing was done and not one word was said to the young man that was randomly shooting around the apartment, almost nightly. My oldest son and he ended up in a fight because of this, causing us to be evicted, but not the people that this young man was living with. He was not on the lease, contiunes to stay there, and the manager has made no action to evict them.

I am thrilled I was evicted simply because the place I moved into is hands down nicer, but my mother is still living there, the complex will not let her out of her lease. She is 83 yrs old an has been told that none of her family is to be on the property. She has asked for her hot water to be fixed, for drips to be stopped, for lighting to be replaced, and for a mold problem to be taken care off. This has been happening for 3 yrs, and her requests for repair are constantly over looked. This same manager told her that the company wanted all blacks off the property, forgetting that her grandchildren or mixed, she let this slip out. So far they have evicted almost all for one reason or another, including holding one eviction for 40 days and then demanding the tenant move within 24 hours. His crime was, he owed $30.00 for a late fee.

Peoples apartments as well as their cars have been broken into often, some women have been attacked, and the complex does nothing to stop any of these problems. The manager is only interested in blaming black juveniles, when most of the problems are coming from the white section or the hispanic groups.

Someone needs to investigate the racial prejudices in this apartment community. Eviction on the basis of race is illegal.

I'm sorry I could not read your report because of the glare off of your HALO.
Yeah, sounds right to me, get shot at and then try and fight someone for shooting at you!! and of course the Police dept. would not do anything to someone "randomly shooting around the apartment" ??

Oh, never mind, of course it is race related,
because that's the only way you can condone what you and your angel(s) have done.
Blame it on someone else.
Have a nice life
