My fiance and I are building our dream home overlooking Okanagan Lake in B.C. Canada. We have done a ton of research on the internet finding the perfect materials. We ordered tiles and sinks from Mexico and Texas, windows and doors from California...

In November 2008 we found beautiful flooring from Quebec Canada. It was 5 x 3/4 inch Heritage Birch Rustic Cappuccino, perfect for our Southwestern home. I called the company Huron Hardwood and spoke with a very nice salesperson, Tom Gillie. He told me they (the mill) were doing a run of 5" and if I got my order in right away, we would be top of the list to receive our flooring. Tom found us a great shipping rate and all I had to do was go through paypal and send him $5670.00 Cdn. and we would "have our floors by Christmas". Yes Tom, I know you're reading this you lying sack!!! By the way, paypal has a policy of not filing a claim past 45 days.

The floors never showed up. I contacted Tom in January and asked where the wood is. "Bad winter up here, nothing's moving". Tom promised in a February email that the flooring would be shipped in 2 weeks. Nope. Talked to Tom in the second week of March, he said " Oh Rick, you read my mind, I was just about to call you and let you know your flooring is on the loading dock waiting for the truck. It's ready but probably won't leave till Monday". Do you remember that, Tom? NO WOOD!!! I contacted Tom this week (last week of March) and he says he has to "talk to the mill and find where my order is". I know where my order is. My order is in Tom's bank account to the tune of $5670.00. Do you drive a Lexus, Tom? Tom had no intention of sending me any hardwood, just taking my money.

I have contacted the RCMP and Ontario Provincial Police regarding this thieving sheister. Tom told the Constable that contacted him today that his busuness is going bankrupt and he is doing his darndest to please all his customers. If you're going under Tom, stop taking people's money. What, are you going to steal someone else's money and give it to me? We'll see if what you are doing constitutes fraud or not. Want to get me off you back Tom? Withdraw my money from your bank account and paypal it back to me. Do it today Tom.

I urge all people ripped off by Huron Hardwood and Tom Gille to contact the Penticton RCMP, speak with Constable George and file a complaint. 250 492-4300. We must all get together and file a civil suit against Mr. Gillie and freeze his assets before someone else does. There may be other people looking for hardwood online that don't realize Tom Gillie and Huron Hardwood are corrupt and lose their money as we have. This thieving scumbag must be stopped.

I understand that many of my American neighbors have been the victim of Huron Hardwood and Tom Gillie. Be sure to contact your local police and federal agencies to report this internet thief. In Canada www.recol.ca to report economic crime online. My online tag is at recol 34013, include this with your complaint so the members can put it all together.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HURON HARDWOOD!!!!!!

People who are unaware of Business Law

#2General Comment

This is quite a silly and condescending report and i'm surprised it was able to slide under the radar making such false accusations as "do you drive a lexus" and profane, frankly childish, name calling.  This is clearly a person with a minimal education background and so in an attempt to fill some gaps as it were I shall continue.  Huron Hardwood, in fact, no longer exists as it went bankrupt.  So "thievery" is just plain not the correct term.  Businesses go bankrupt, this is life.  As per Canadian law (which you may look up on something called 'the internet'" a bankrupt company has no legal obligation to provide you with anything as they are no longer a company and therefore can no longer provide said goods or services.

Something which does not exist can not provide anything (as per logic).  So I believe that points out the gapping hole in this petty man or woman's story.  As per your condescending comments, your money would be properly invested in some sort of college diploma or perhaps a dictionary.  Many clients of Tom's have been more than satisfied with their purchases (which in fact were received when the company was still in business).  He is not a thief nor a crook of any kind and such outlandish comments from such a blatantly immature individual should be disregarded.  I hope your "lawsuit" went well although as per the law, i'm sure it did not.
