Complaint Review: Hurrican Sales

On 11-20-2004 Gene Gibson a "student" who was trying to earn points to win a contest so he could start his own business asked me to buy a magazine subscription from him. I ordered ESPN 26 issuses for $30.00 plus an $8.00 processing fee, a total of $38.00. I paid for this with a check #1*** - which cleared my bank a week later. Reciept # HS *****.

I was told I would not get my magazine for 90 to 120 days. It is now almost May and still no magazine. I have repeatedly called and left detailed messages on the companies voice mail. No one has yet to return my call. I contacted ESPN and they have not recieved the order from the 3rd party sales company and can not start my subscription since Hurricane Sales C/O Lss Inc. is holding my money.

I am very unhappy about this situation, I left Hurricane Sales a messsage on 4/26/05 that I would be notifying the BBB about this matter. At the time I made this purchase I was living in Jacksonville Florida and was approached again on the 6th of April by someone from the same company while I was there again visiting a friend. They are out to rip people off and it is very unfair.
