Hurst Hardwoods Defective Product/Dishonest Salesperson/Dishonest Business Owner Oldsmar Florida

We purchased a flooring that has proven defective within 30 days of installation. The flooring sold to us was inappropriate for the dry environment for which it was purchased. The result is a floor that is curling and shrinking and now needs to be replaced. Despite a 30-year guarantee the company has failed to stand behind its product.

We tried to stear the gentleman away from a thick engineered floor with a thick wear layer. But he waived us off. The floor is warranteed but not under any condition. We have a Moisture statement on our sight that says, among other things, that there cannot be more than a 2% moisture reading difference between the plywood and the flooring. That goes for engineerd and solid. Was this floor properly acclimated. We have sold a good number of these floors and this one only came apart. That points to his home.

The way to mediate is that if a customer says i am at fault they are to hire a certified inspector with the National Wood Flooring Association and if we are at fault we will pay for the inspection and replace the floor. What is a better way to resolve this?
