Hyundai claims to have a 6 year 60k mile Bumper-Bumper warranty..but caution... if you buy a new car read the exclusions before buying..it's a real eye opener!  I went to Absolute Hyundai 9/19/09 and my senses were extremely acute in that my husband had passed away earlier in day! Bryan Holmes in the Internet sales division was unavailable so I spoke with Rebecca. She brought out the keys for me to drive 2-2008 Sonata.I fell in love with the first one! Dark blue,4 cylinder, satellite radio , no paint chips etc. clean interior and only 46k miles...sounds good, huh? Asked Rebecca how I would be able to have the satellite radio activated and she told me to call or go online and it would cost about $15.00 and it had to be paid quarterly. No problem after being shuffled from here to there and back we finally ended up in the finance dept.since I was paying cash he immediately went to the hard core sales pitch about the extended warranty! I was told "for $2475.00 everything would be covered as if I had bought the car new! Door dings..covered,radio covered, A/C covered...flat out lies as I found out today. After paying 3 month of XLM radio I couldn't get it to work..so I stopped by the dealership and asked Bryan what I was doing wrong? He gave me the 800 # to call and told me they would "walk me thru it" Indeed they tried! Finally the lady advised that my car was unable to locate my antenna and to take it back to the dealership since it was still under original warranty. I arrived at Absolute Hyundai before 9 a.m....after 2 hours of setting there..the lady(?) from service came out and told me the radio was covered for 3 yrs. or 36,000 and I would have to pay $501.00! I blew! And bye the way, the 3yrs. starts from the time the car was purchased by the original owner in 2007! As for the extended warranty...it not worth the paper it was written on! I am amazed at the attitude of the entire staff..........they were rude and calloused! My call to Hyundai was another exercise in futility...all they would say is sorry but there is nothing I can do to help you! Tommorow the fight is on! If this isn't deceptive trade I don't know what is,sooo if you encounter this Report it to The BBB,Texas Attorney General and whoever! We need a class action suit!

Update to Fenton Motor dba Absolute Hyundai in Mesquite,TXdba

Well kiddos, this will be my last update till after we finish in Court! Since my last, I DO NOT believe what I have found out.....but here goes:

We have all heard of Carfax...and it is very helpful! BUT...Experian has what they call Auto check and  It give you all the things that Carfax doesn't!!! My Hyundai was delivered to the Oklahoma City dealership in 2007..which I believe is another Fenton Dealership! it was delivered to be a rental/lease car and that single fact voided the manufactures warranty! All my paper work shows my car as white...but it's dark blue.(Also Carfax shows a side mirrow was replaced, but no indication as to why) Something sounds and smells fishy!

Here the A** kicker......the odometer has been turned BACK at least once! Guess I shouldn't be shocked! It was up for auction on 2 occasions in OKLA City, before being shipped to Texas! They couldn't dump it here at auction but a ding bat here believed all the B.S.~~~that would be me!(2 of the 3 people have been replaced already) Lord If only I could find Brad Fenton!!He has these franchises scattered thru OK,MO,KS etc.BUT every check from Absolute is showing Fenton Motors dba Absolute Hyundai and we want to fry the big FISH!

Yr." big wig" finance guy when asked how or if ANY MAINTENANCE had EVER been done on this car.......he assured me that EVER car they get in is throughly brought up to Hyundai standards ie. oil change, filters, transmission etc.! After Having been lied to soooo many times,my daughter and I went to service, to verify what we were told. Tracy the head of service looked at us as if we were from Mars! She stated that NO,THE ONLY THING DONE is a safety check!

MY Lord when do the lies END!!!??? The last tidbit that I found is quiet a zinger...this dealership has a rating of F with the BBB locally. In three yrs. 21 complaints with more than 5 unanswered!

They FINALLY cancelled the extended warranty(but they pro-rated my refund)WHY????I have not even reached the 50k mile which ends the original manufactures warranty!

OK.....CUPCAKES, you wanna play...............bolt everything down cause hurricane Sheryl and my Attorney intend to leave nothing but the family jewels! She and I are going for a jury trial and these scumbags are gonna lose!

Till then PLEASE do Not buy anything except a brand new Hyundai or better still check the American made! Remember Pearl Harbor!!!!!

OMG...it CAN get worse! FENTON MOTORS Sucks

Just FYI....I ran a Carfax report on my car! Nothing to get really excited about......then a dear friend told me about AutoCheck! Thinking I would get the same info I ran the check and paid the best $20.00 of my life!

To my surprise, my Hyundai was purchased by Fenton Motors in Oklahoma and used as a lease/rental car.....no biggie! The kicker was...THEY ROLLED BACK THE ODOMETER not once but twice!

The irony of this whole pile of crap is the fact that my car has only had 1 owner and that would be me! however, the Hyundai warranty started when Fenton Motors (Brad Fenton) first received my car in 2007!

I have no clue what happened to this car..........all my paper work shows that I am driving a white Sonata, not a blue one and Lord I have no clue how many TRUE miles it has on it???? They tried to sell it at auction 3 times in Ok. before sending it to Tx.

I truly believe this is not an isolated case and my saving grace is I can now sue them for 3 times what I paid, plus court cost and attorney fees! If only I had known before hand!!

AutoCheck is part of Experian and for once in my life they have done me a favor!!!
