In the past 6 weeks we have received 3 separate notices advising us to bring our "Key" in to the Hyundai dealership in order to receive 1 of 5 prizes. Following instructions on the flyer we found that all three flyers had so called matches for a prize. We had watched a story on CBS touting the Hyundai product so my wife and I took our certificate and went to the dealership. Upon entering the recptionist seated us and took down various details and then suddenly disappeared with the notice (flyer) and key. A sales person then showed up and we took a test ride together. After his sales pitch we asked which prize we had won? He laughed and answered "that people are just coming in for the prizes" and that the only pizes were only a  Wal-Mart gift certificates as prizes and that these were long gone".

 

Upon our return hom I contacted Hyundai Worldwide on the internet (copying Napleton Hyundai) and their response was that they are not resposible as each dealer is responsible for their own promotion. Obviously Hyundai is riding high at the moment and they dont care what scummy tactics are used by their dealers.

I for one would not buy a Hyundai and we have related the above to numerous people who have now taken a new view toward their tactics and product.
