Complaint Review: I DO Moving

I Do Moving was completely reckless and inconsiderate of my belongings and the time clock. They damaged and broker over $2,300 worth of my belongings. I received a quote I received from I DO Movers which stated I would have a 3 person crew. What I got was 2 movers and a driver that took over 5.5hrs to complete the move. I was provided a quoted by Aaron from I DO Moving stating the move would take a MAXIMUM OF 4 hours. Instead the move took over 5.5hrs, plus your team would not even reassemble my furniture. I had the crew an extra $30 to re-assemble my bedroom set. Which was not completed fully or correctly. I had to complete the installation, your crew put it together completely wrong. In addition, the crew broke my desk, microwave, coffee table, several lamps, glasses/ dishes, and pieces of art. I had tried calling your office several times beginning at the time of the move on Saturday November 21, 2009 and multiple other times leaving voicemails. I received NO response. When I received no response I put a stop payment on the check I had written for $607.50 on November 25, 2009. I did not write a bad check; I have the right as a consumer to stop payment. In addition, I spoke w/ Curtis from I Do Moving who wanted me to pay the balance at which point they begin the process of filing $300 insurance claim. This is unacceptable. They have not come up with any solution, but to pay the entire balance. I DO Moving did not comply with ANY of the contractual obligations. In addition, they advertise they dont charge for travel time, but Curtis from I Do Moving claims the extended move time could have been based off travel time. This organization advertises several false services on their website www.idomoving.com and they continue to do this to other consumers. The poor service they provided me needs to be addressed and shared with other consumers. Do not work w/ this company or Bulldog Movers based in Atlanta. They are horrible!!!
