Complaint Review: Best Buy /Nokia

I just wanted everyone that reads this to know that BEST BUY should be named WORST BUY.

They are staffed by rude, uninformed, and inconsistent employees. I have been dealing with a Rebate offer from Nokia for over 4 months!

When I bought the phone, they said that I would receive a rebate within 6-8 weeks, but I never got the rebate. I had filled out all the forms and sent all the necessary paperwork, then even called to verify that it had all arrived complete.

I have been calling best buy's customer service as well as Nokia and ATT for the past 4 months, and they all blame each other for the fact that the rebate has not yet arrived.

Now, 4 MONTHS later, they have informed me (only because I kept calling mind you, not once has anyone ever tried to contact me) that the rebate is not valid anymore!!!

That, supposedly, it was never valid and was "false advertising on the individual store's part" and therefore not a responsibilty of Best Buy"???!!!. Best Buy does not want to give the rebates, they just want to advertise them so that you will purchase a product from them instead of Circuit City or another competitor.

They try to wear you down, hoping that you will forget about the rebate or give up on it completely. It's sad that a company so large and economically stable has to be so petty. Thanks for letting me vent!
