I just want to say, I hope the group of people your "I-Team-12, people have set up, bothered, and lied to, to obtain interviews from HONEST FOLKS, get the interview with your "I-Team-12". (Or will it be "No Comment?)
I recently saw on an internet NG where they have got together with a Production Company out of California to "Interview" your "I-Team-12" staff on the fly.....(Just like THEY do!). I even saw some footage...looks very good on the Mac's Finale Cut Pro. (A young, short "Camera-Man" hiding a camera in his jacket when asked by a person being interviewed if "He Was Holding A Camera"...replied "No". (A LIE we have on tape!) He said it was a "Cell Phone") But it's on tape! SOON to be on the web I guess...
Your "Team" has set up and LIED to people they have interviewed over the past year. Even people that ASKED if it's on the record, or asked to be left alone, or NOT be filmed, you STILL went and aired a VERY negative "Lie". That's NOT reporting! Even my Prof. at PSU does not agree with your "Tactics"!
You have the RIGHT to report the news, as these folk's have the right to report on you, NOT only as far as Channel 12's transmitters...but across the web for ALL the world to see. This is the talk of the coffee shops and campus here! You may be able to fool SOME in Oregon, but NOT the millions on the web. I'm here! Portland Oregon! And a few folks have been turned off by MANY or your recent stories.
I find you people disgusting. I was a 12 fan because of "Star Trek Voyager", but since it's their last season, don't expect THIS user to tune in again!
I look forward to seeing their video they plan to launch on the web site. For SHAME!
I plan to ALSO pass this on to people that advertise on your station, and encourage them to find a station "Reputable" and "Worthy" of their faith!
What ever happened to quality and "high esteem?" TKE!

I am hearing these negative comments about Channel 12 which in some cases may or may not be true. I am a solid Channel 12 watcher. I have turned to Channel's 6 and 8 at times and have not been impressed with these stations.
I have noticed that those stations have a tendency of jumping right on it and having live footage of accident sights in which they show fresh accident victims. I don't feel this would be right due to the fact that some of the family members may not know about the accidents and all of the sudden get a shock when they see a family member in pieces on the freeway.
There are some things that do not need to be shown. I am disagreeing with all of you that are being so negative towards Channel 12. I think you need to wake up and realize that will be media for you no matter where you go or what you watch, media coverage is going to be similar, just take a look at it, and if you don't like something that one news channel's doing, then I guess you should stop watching the news all together.
I'm sure there are more important issues to complain about if you really think about it. If you don't like it, guess what, change the channel.

The lead reporter for the KPTV-12 I-team (KErry Tomlinson) was terminated form an NBC affiliate in Spokane for making up stories.... You would think she would be out on the street but she gets a job with good old KPTV. WOW.
I Team 12 is nothing more then a grubby news hungry deal.

As a fellow Portlander, I have followed this as well, almost a year now.
I Team 12 is nothing more then a grubby news hungry deal.
I have seen many reports that are downright untrue. When did local news go so far as to lie for a story when there is so much truth to report on?
Don't trust a word they say, in fact, tune into the other stations in town.

You know, this is not the first time I have heard about channel 12 doing this sort of thing.
I watch KOIN 6 news for the most part, because of things like this that I have heard. It's just so wrong. I know it's not the first time 12 has pulled this kind of stunt to get ratings.
