I've been with IBM Southeast for 7 years and have never had a problem. They weren't the best bank but its the bank my grandmother uses so I did as well. I needed to pay my rent which is past due and could only pay by traveler's check or money order. After some fraudulent activity was found on my husbands account he canceled his debit card and wrote me a check for the past due rent that was due. I used the Edeposit on my phone and the money was deposited into my account. Now most debit cards have a transaction limt for the day. I called the bank to see if I could have it raised so i clould get the money order to pay my rent. After being on the phone with a representative for 20 minutes some rude lady who did not introduce herself tells me that the check i deposited has to be validated before they will approve the increase. She asks me who wrote me the check. I told her it was my husband and she repeats what i said to her. Then she says that she called his bank and they tried to speak with him and the voicemail is not set up. The entire time shes speaking to me like Im a criminal. She tells me she wont be in the office until tuesday. After I get off the phone i notice the check that was deposited is now frozen and Ive been charged almost $30 in overdraft fees for money thats in my account. Susan never told me that she was going to freeze the check. I thought maybe it was just her who was a b**** but after calling a local branch and receiving less than mediocre service im convinced I will be closing my account and never ever doing any type of business with them ever

Since they have a local branch as per what you said, why didn't you just go there and deposit the check?  Instead of dealing with them by phone, if you go in person, its much harder for them to get rid of you!  Then there's the matter of funds availability with a personal check.  What is their policy in regard to that?
