On 1/12/16 my family member was moved to a Transition house and I had to set an account up with IC Solutions for him to be able to call home. My rate was $1.50 per 15 minute local call. On 3/17/16 FCC regulation was set into affect that put a cap of $0.21 a minute for these calls. Therefor this company increased my rates from $1.50 per 15 minute call to $3.15 per 15 minute call.

The following statement is listed on the FCC website: " Acting on its mandate to ensure that rates for phone calls are just, reasonable, and fair for all Americans, the FCC is working to rein in the excessive rates and egregious fees on phone calls paid by some of society's most vulnerable: people trying to stay in touch with loved ones serving time in jail or prison."

If this is the case, then how am I expected to afford to pay for a 210% increase. I already pay almost $300 a month to be able to talk to my loved one, now that rate has doubled. Just because a rate cap was placed, doesn't mean that this company should take advantage of the consumers and charge them the max amount allowed by FCC.
