ICMwebsites Informed business kit was 99 cents. No other information on page. Click to ship. Charged additional $139.95 without authorization Internet

Reading some of the other situations, mine is also similar. I clicked in a website that said it was on two or three or more news sites that this was a legitimate business. I was informed that the business kit was only $2.99. I clicked to exit then the site informed me that the business kit was reduced to .99 cents, just click and the business kit would be shipped out quickly. There was a lot of good testimonial, Google even agreed that it was legitimate, and my Norton did not warn of any fraudulent information or site so I clicked on the place to have the kit sent. There was no fine print, symbols to warn of other information, nothing. I was sent immediately to another site where I could start to set things up lie domain names and other things. The information was that you needed a domain name for your business. I figured this was ok; this gave you a chance to start things off while waiting for the business kit. I decided to purchase a domain name and have a little bit of a start on my business. I submitted the information to purchase the domain name and was informed that there was a problem with my account. I went to my financial site and that is when I discovered that there was a $139.95 charge on the account. There was never any information about additional charges or even a trial period. I did not give any authorization for anyone to charge my account for this $139.95. I would like a reimbursement of this charge and have no further correspondence or affiliation with this site.

This website collects personal information, including credit card information WITHOUT USING SECURE SOCKET LAYER /TRANSPORT LAYER SECURITY encryption!  Dont believe me?  Go to these URLs and see for yourself!!!  The first clue is that the URL in the address line begins with HTTP: -addresses that use TLS/SSL begin with HTTPS:

http://www.internetprofitsuccesssystem.com/c/GHD73H9D9IAK0/default.aspx?itm=R00003&vn=homepage&ex=0

http://www.internetprofitsuccesssystem.com/c/GHD73H9D9IAK0/Page2.aspx?ex=0

This website demands name, address, city, state, telephone number, email address, CREDIT CARD NUMBER, credit card expiration date, credit card type, and credit card CVV#.

The communication from the consumer to this website is NOT SECURE WITH TLS/SSL ENCRYPTION!

Further, on their page where they want credit card information, they have 3 logos; Verisign check, Geotrust, and Truste.  The Verisign logo is a FAKE because it doesnt link to verisign and their SSL certificate (verified with www.verisign.com.)  The www.GeoTrust.com website does NOT LIST this website as secure, and the www.Truste.com website does not list them as secure!

So, how is this website secure for ecommerce?  Why would any website have any of these logos on their page when they are not using TLS/SSL encryption and dont have a TLS/SSL certificate?

Lets see on of their employees attempt to explain this!!!

Take your time, well wait.

When youre done dancing around this, perhaps youll explain why your company is in the United Kingdom?   Why dont you folks give the complete registered name of your company along with the location?  The UK covers a lot of ground.  Why dont you identify exactly who your company is and where your company located?

Oh, wait!  Then folks would KNOW WHAT LEGAL JURISDICTION to complain to about your practices!!!

Thank you for your correspondence in connection with the above-referenced matter. It is clear from the text of the complaint that all the information was not provided by the complainant in regards to the program was signed up for and the requisite charges for that program, and several facts have been omitted that once revealed will hopefully clear up this matter.

The Internet Cash Machine (ICM) is a turn-key business opportunity that offers prospective clients the ability to create single product websites, as well as,  Mall Webstores which comes pre-stocked with products, some of which can be sold with no product cost to the merchant.  The websites are easily built with a few clicks of the mouse, yet are highly customizable for advanced users.  The websites are tied into a network of drop-shippers and fulfillment center making it easy for clients to select products and deliver them to their clients without handling them.  Included in the program is a mall webstore that ties all of the clients products together allowing them to market a variety of products through an internet mall web site. Internet Cash Machine also offers ICM clients merchant accounts with the ability to accept credit cards and ACH services.

Internet Cash Machine is a membership site that provides users with all the tools and information necessary to learn how to post websites and webstores and launch products for auction on eBay to make money online.

In order to sign up for the Internet Cash Machine program, the customer MUST go thru the following steps.

         1.       Client reaches Internet Cash Machine site through different internet advertisements.

        2.        Client is directed to a sales landing page to enter preliminary information. Note that there is a      link at the bottom of the page to the Terms and Conditions of the signing up for the program.

3. Then the customer MUST provide their credit card information on the secured payment page.??

By placing my order I agree to the Terms of Offer, which explain this order includes the about for just $2.97 for processing. If you enjoy the 3-day trial and continue your path to making money, you will be billed a one-time fee of $139.95 and a monthly maintenance fee of $4.95. You may cancel anytime by calling 1-877-863-3088.

The 3 day trial is 3 days from the day the client signed up. Actually the $139.95 is billed on the 4th day after the signup.

The $2.97 charge is drafted immediately upon signup. At the same time the $139.95 is temporarily authorized on their account, which holds those funds for us. If they do not cancel during the 3 day trial period the $139.5 charge is then drafted from the account based on the initial authorization we placed on their account.

If they cancel within the 3 day trial period, the authorization for the funds is lifted and the money is again available for them in their account.

The $139.95 charge is initially placed on Pending Status in their account. That pending states remains until the funds are drafted the hold is lifted.

Again on the credit information page, the terms and conditions of the program are noted on the page in several different areas. First, there is a  link on the bottom of the page for the Terms and Conditions. Second,  the Terms and Conditions and charges for the program are listed on the page, directly to the left  of the Rush My Order button.  Those terms and conditions and charges for the service clearly state that there are 3 different charges for this program. The first is  the initial charge of $2.97 for processing of the account. The $2.97 charge provides the customer with access to the service for a 3 Day Trial Period.  The 3 day period provides the customer with access to the service so they can ascertain if they would like to continue with the service and incur the additional charges for the service. After the 3 day trial period has expired, as the terms clearly state, the customer is then charged the second charge, which is a one-time $139.95 charge for the service membership.  The customer then has access to the full service until they elect to cancel the service. Each month that the service is active the customer will be charged a monthly maintenance fee of $4.95.
