Complaint Review: ICMwebsites

This site was on AT&T home page when I went in to the Email Icon. Located to the left of the Password with an article stating that a young mother in Miami was doing great business at home. Like other rip off reports, you go in to buy what I thought was a kit for $2.97. I filled out the info expecting a kit in the mail and by chance checked my account and found $139.95 deducted 3 days later. I did not wish websites and left the site never seeing anything mentioned for that amount but a monthly fee of $39.95 did register.

It was a total shock to me so I immediately called the bank who said I would have to go first to the company, but it was Pacific time and I had to wait to make my call.  When I called at 4.15 eastern time, Kevin was very kind but said no refunds but a trial of 3 months for 30 websites (Webpages) and a company Sunshine something provides product and drop ships.

He offered to put me through a demonstration to put up a website with a product and we chose an ebook selling for $9.99 and he explained it was up and running to go as is but that a call to PayPal to start up was necessary and actually gave me the number.

After that I had to rush out, like the first afternoon when I ordered the kit and in putted my credit card info. But today on return home, after already setting up one product with Kevin's help, there was a message from Steve Morrison regarding "your pending credit".

He was from Applied Knowledge, a different company which was also part of the start up package of $139.95.  He listened when I told him I was confused and wanted my money back. He was offering a 30 minute training session to start up, at the end of which he would evaluate and make recommendation to his supervisor whether I could be included in a sort of winning circle wherein I could get into a business that would allow me to make anywhere from $3,500 to 5,000 a wk. But I was not available at that time and we set up an appointment for the session at a future date.

Thank God a friend sent me this site and I confirmed other people being ripped off.

This is brilliantly thought out and the hook wording "pending credit" on the message left pulls you in so you call back, plus, all you get is a referral at the end of the training session that will sink you further into debt by the sounds of it.

The young men are delightfully helpful and polite and well spoken, no foreign accents, true blue Americans, with white voices, and I am not racist by any means, just my observation.  I think the original article featured sitting on AT&T's lead in site is allowing ICM credibility and it has the logos of CNN, and other TV channels is deceptively ingenious and it is sad that they are ripping people off by the minute.

It has taken me a full day to get to this stage and follow through with the bank on this one and thrown me for a loop.
