ICON Health & Fitness, Inc. defective products, victimized many consumers Garland and Logan, Texas and Utah
I have just recently purchased my 3rd defective trampoline replacement pad from ICON Health & Fitness. When I purchased the 1st one and it arrived with snags in the mat. I called. I was told it had a one year warranty and that if any tears occurred it would be replaced. Well, low and behold, it tore. I called, Oh yes, I could pack and return it (at my own expense)and after review they will repair it at no charge IF they feel it is a manufactures defect. I told them it arrived damaged and I called and reported it. Guess what? No record of the call. Also, you have to pay the shipping back to you and to top it off it could be months before the merchandise is processed for decision.
So, after weeks of arguing with them and endless nagging from my children I decided to just order a new one. Four months later it arrived. It had a big seam right down the middle of it. I was in shock. I called (about my 50th call at this point since it took four months to arrive) guess what I can send it back at my own expense and all the same garbage from them all over again. I said this is rediculous. This was a birthday present and my son has now celebrated another birthday since this started. (And by the way the are very, very, very Rude!)
I was told I could go ahead and order another and then send this one in for a refund. Well after spending another 162.00 bringing me to almost $600 and we are yet to have a non-defective jump pad. Today the new one arrived - With Snags In It!! Now they tell me I can't even get a refund on the 2nd one because my 3month which I was told on the phone was 1 year warranty is up from my date of purchase. My warranty was up before the 2nd jump ever arrived!
Let me tell you again they are very, very rude!! So to date I have been sent three (3) defective jump pads (I was certain to take photos.) Do not ever order anything from these jerks. Now, I have had enough. I work for a law firm where I have been employed since 1987 and I am filing a complaint against them. I suggest you do the same! Oh, and guess what! I can return this one and they will determine if it is defective (at my own shipping and handling costs both ways)and if they determine it to be defective they will replace it.
When I asked for a time frame I was told up to four months. I tried to record our call and when I told them for quality assuarance purposes I was recording the call they hung up on me!
