Don't be fooled by the expensive website. This is a totally family owned and operated scam. First for the customers, this is a local AZ company that does not have any other offices. The local numbers for Salt Lake City, Seattle, and other cities are just forwarded to their 800 number. All calls are taken at their only office in Scottsdale, AZ. The calls are taken by salesmen with little to no investigation experience. They simply quote the customers a price. They do use licensed private investigators in other states to do their work, if they bother to do anything. They simply mark the price way up. The company founder, David Raburn, claims to have worked for the CIA and other govt agencies but has no education and no proof to offer other than his sales pitch. They claim to handle any case, anywhere and always demand a huge fee upfront. They then send a contract which removes them from any liability and leaves the customer with no recourse but to deal with their crooked billing practices. Ask to see the contract first and you will surely see what this company is all about.

As to people seeking employment, apply if you have no scrupples and desire to be treated poorly by the son of the founder. I was offered a case analyst position with the company. I have no investigation experience and was told just to get them on the phone, reassure the customer, get some money from the client, and get them to sign the contract. After spending two weeks their I realized that all the employees had been with the company for less than 3 months, that none had any experience, and all were disgusted with the treatment they received from the company president and son of the founder, Mike Rabern. On more than one occasion I witnessed his showing up to work around noon to belittle the employees with profanity and threats and then leaving on business within a few hours. When I received my first paycheck I found that the salary that I had been offered was not what I was payed and then spent 2 days trying to reach Mr. Rabern to resolve the issue. When I finally did, he informed me that I was mistaken and that I must have misunderstood what he stated in our interview. The company lists several employment positions on their website but most are bogus. They hire salesman to con the customers into signing the contract and phone employees to deal with the upset customers and private investigators that are actually performing the work in other states.

This post contains misinformation and makes untrue statements about ICS World. Our sales people do not “con” anyone and most have many years of investigation experience. Contrary to this report, employees are treated fairly and with respect. We request this inaccurate report be removed immediately as it is gross defamation of character and harmful to our business’s reputation.
