This is from E-bay.

I received the "NEW" pool pump in a re-taped box with address lable over a previous one. Inside, the hand-book was soiled and two loose instruction sheets were torn and crumpled. The electrical feed on the unit was altered and not consistent with sellers photos. Giving the seller the benefit of the doubt I corrected the alteration, ironed the info sheets, taped them together and made legible photo-copies. My wife and I are handi-capped and it took 40 days to get it installed only to find it not working at all.

I notified the company recognising that I was beyond their 30 day return window but related that in view of the circumstances (outlined as above) I felt a return should be allowed. I had then noticed a renewed listing for the same product with the statement that this item is "not for use or sale in California".

ID Rack responded saying it was not returnable after 30 days, and that the disclaimer about use in CA did not apply because it was sold [days] before that disclaimer was published.

They did not respond to the fact that the item was re-packaged, altered, and not functional.

Not able to get through to E-bay, I went to Pay-pal. Nothing yet....
