ID Safe Lock Showed up while getting credit reports on unemployment webb site. Said protecion was free and now I have been billed $19.98 Unknown California
Was signing up for unemployment and credit report window came up and then this ID Safe Lock appeared. It was stated that the service was free. Now I have been billed $19.95 on my credit card. So I will cancel and advise my credit card of the transaction.

2013-10-28Often times, you are prompted to sign up for a free service, which in fact is a free TRIAL. They get your billing information, and in the small print, it says that if you don't cancel within X days, you'll be billed at so many dollars per month.
Whenever you're offered something for free, and you need to enter credit card information, it's not free. They'll try to get you at some point.
