Hi I'm here to let everyone know that IDEARC Media is a scam do not use this company. My husband was advertising a new business hes trying to get started on craigslist.org on 12/14/09. The same day he posted the add he got a phone call from Darrell Thompson saying how wonderful this company is and that they could get him 40 jobs now in the town where he lives. He listened to what he had to say and talked for about an hour or so. He asked my husband for his name and address before he got off the phone with him, he gave it to him because at the time he was interested in this company.

Well the same night he came and talked to me about it, and I said lets Google this company and see what comes up. Well on the first page of Google if you search idearc media there are at least two sites that come up with complaints saying this company is a scam more on the second page as well. Well the next day on 12/15/09 my husband got a phone call from Darrell Thomas again, and we told him no we didn't wont any services from the company he was representing that the company was a scam. Well earlier that same day we got a email from Idearc Media saying Terms and Conditions with a attachment. The attachment was a contract. Well we downloaded the attachment and looked at it and replied back to the email "I DO NOT WONT SERVICES WITH YOUR COMPANY, IM NOT SIGNING A CONTRACT OR ANYTHING ELSE DO NOT EMAIL ME AGAIN!!!" and sent it back to the same email address that it came from.

The next day on 12/16/09 we got another email from this company it said "Please provide a business phone number or name so that we may access your account.
Thanks.

We replied back and said "I am not interested in this company here is why http://www.consumeraffairs.com/business/idearc.html Im not signing a contract or anything else do not contact me again!!!"

That day on the 12/16/09 I got the company's address, phone number and website address and contacted the Better Business Bureau of Dallas, Texas and filed a complaint.

Well on one of the sites above there was the CEO s email address his name is Scott Klein and told him what was going on and that we did not sign a contract or give our information out to their company about our business name or anything else. You would think that the CEO of the company would have put a stop to this!!!! He didn't!!!

So on the 12/19/09 we got this email all I can figure out is that Darrell as I mentioned above was going to try and get a commission check for this and gave them our information unauthorized after we told him we didn't wont services from the company and hung up on him because the business name was on craigslist.org, as well as my husband gave him his name and address. He obviously did it anyways. This is what the email said

Now tell me how they can do this and we havnt signed a contract, with this company or gave them any information, points back to Darrell Thompson doesn't it? How can he do this give my husbands information to a company and somehow get him in a contract when he has said no? So we replied back to this email as well and said "I DO NOT WONT SERVICES WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I HAVE NOT SIGNED A CONTRACT WILL NOT SIGN ONE. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND IF YOU SEND ME A BILL IT WILL BE COPIED AND SENT TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AS WELL. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN!!! I WILL CONTACT A LAWYER IF THIS DOESNT STOP!!!

Two days later on the 12/19/09 we received another email saying this our reply that we sent back is on top

I HAVE TOLD YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE 3 TIMES THIS MAKES 4. I HAVE NOT SIGNED A CONTRACT AND WILL NOT!!!! I DO NOT WONT SERVICES FROM THIS COMPANY EVER NOT NOW NOT LATER NEVER!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE DO NOT SEND ME A BILL IF YOU DO, IT WILL BE SENT BACK TO YOU WITH A NICE LITTLE LETTER AS WELL AS A COPY SENT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IN TEXAS!!!! I HAVE TOLD YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO STOP SENDING ME EMAILS THAT I DONT WONT SERVICES FROM THIS COMPANY!!! IF THIS DOES NOT STOP I WILL CONTACT A LAWYER FOR I HAVE SAVED EVERY EMAIL THIS COMPANY HAS SENT AND A COPY OF WHAT I HAVE REPLIED!!! LEAVE ME ALONE TAKE MY NAME OFF I HAVNT ORDERED ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

How the heck can they do this saying I have ordered a website? How can they do this to to someone not just me and my husband but lots of other people as well? Why hasn't the Better Business Bureau done something about this? This is why I say this company is a scam do not use this company!!! Somehow now we have got to get out of this mess and not get a huge bill because as you can see they charge $312.50 a month for this BS service. How can Darrell Thompson legally give my husbands info to them without authorization from him and get him into this mess, much less in a contract or so they say I guess? I will say it one more time THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
