In April, 2011, my husband and I paid ideelworld.com $324 as a down-payment on a custom wrought-iron trellis, with delivery estimated to be about 4 weeks.   Immediately after, they told us they had begin production and would be sending photographs. After a month had gone by, we were told that they were "very busy" with other orders.  After another month passed, and they had missed two deadlines for sending photographs, we asked to speak to someone directly.  At this point they began to ignore phone calls and e-mail communications. At this point I checked with the Better Business Bureau and discovered they had an "F" rating and there were a number of other reports of people who had been defrauded. We demanded a full refund, and they were brazen enough to claim  to the BBB that they had refunded our money, when they had not. To date they have made no refund.
What is incredible about these people is the endless litany of excuses and lies, as if they have decided that if they just keep telling falsehoods and promising products/refunds, eventually they will wear their victims out. I am determined to bring these people to justice.

Don't Purchase From Ideel World/Tranquility Alley

I would advise you to shop elsewhere (anywhere but ideel world/tranquility alley).  This company is a fraud.  I ordered beaded curtains from them in November of 2010--yes 2010.  I never received the product or a refund.  I tried multiple times to contact them.  Most of the time they just didn't answer my phone calls, phone messages, e-mails or chat-room responses.  On the rare occasion they did contact me it was to give me a line about how sorry they were, or to make an excuse about why I hadn't received the product or to let me know that my "refund was in the mail"--I never received the refund. Now I'm out $91.57.  Don't make the same mistake I did. Regarding the rebuttal response saying how great Charles Hagenkotter is--don't believe it.  Maybe that individual got great service from him, but as far as I'm concerned you should give all of your customers "great service" or you can't be trusted.  I didn't even expect "great service"  I just wanted my product or a refund, and since my order was in November 2010, I believe I have been more than patient.

Charles Hagenkotter went above and beyond the call of duty for my company. I am the founder of a non for profit and needed 50 curtains for a show. Not only did Charles Hagenkotter deliver the curtains on time but he sold them to us at cost and delivered and hung them at no extra charge. Charles Hagenkotter is a good honest man who i feel looks after his customers.
