Complaint Review: iDictate

If you are a typist, be very wary of either of these companies.  Lee Dorfman and Richard Jackson are birds of a feather, crooked to the bone.  They have a pissing contest dating prior to the lawsuit in 2005, the iDictate versus CyberSecretaries war. 

You don't make money with either company, only 1/2 cent per word.  God help anyone who questions the almighty proofers ... you will be instantly terminated.

I was a proofer with SpeakWrite for many years, a joke, in its poorest form.  No two proofers interpret the 500+ page policy and procedure manual correctly so there are as many interpretations as proofers.  I very recently went to work at iDictate.  This company is even worse than SpeakWrite with Julie Harlow at the reigns ... an obnixious b**** who seriously needs an attitude adjustment.  Don't ask questions.  Don't respond to any comments made by any proofer.  And, for God's sake, don't get friendly with the proofers, you'll get terminated. 

They don't pay extra for multi-speaker jobs so you can spend an hour on a job and only make $3.  I usually worked from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and only made $32 tops.  That comes out to less than $3.00 per hour.  Work is not guaranteed so you can sit for hours without any jobs. 

Don't waste your time on either company.  One is just as bad as the other.
