I recieved a phone call from someone identifying themselves as a govt grant employee and telling me I had been selected as qualifying to recieve a US Govt grant of $5000.00. They asked for my checking acct info to deposit the money and said there would be a processing fee of 29.95 but would not be taken gfrom the acct until 2-3 days after I recieved the funds. They even coached me to leave at least that amount in the acct if I were to withdraw it. I must say they sounded pretty official asking what I would do with the funds, making sure I understood the money could in no way be used for gambling, drugs, etc--They said they got my info from a survey done of peole applying for casdh advances and if you had never claimed bk or didnt owe the Govt. etc, you could qualify. I gave my info because I knew there was no risk since my acct was $71.00 overdrawn and sure enough when I checked the next day there was an attempt bt IDTHECS.com to deduct funds from my acct They had called me the day before with the same scam but nothing showed on my acct. I'm hoping they try again today as I am prepared to tape the phone call
