Ifriends.com has been added to the list of the ever on going online scams. I joined their affiliate program; I have a ton of experience in affiliate marketing, so I know not to send all my traffic to one site.

Once I have produced my necessary sales(insert their terms here) I am supossed to be sent a check in a week. People who are reading this please take notice that 50% of affiliate programs are scams. So never spend advertising dollars on a new affiliAte program until you have it in your hands, and it clears the bank.

I friends owes me a measily 120.00 (as I said start out slow with new affiiliate programs.

Did they pay me. Nope. When I emailed them asking my check, they shut down my account. Yet I was not aware of this anmd was still pointing some traffic to them. You'd think they would notify you regarding canceling your account. I have heard nothing, and have no other means of recovery than small claims. I've sued 2 companies in small claims, one company did show up, they lost, and another co nevers showed up so I got a default judgement, but the company went belly up, just as any deceitful and outgrageous lies they tell. I have reported them to the District attorney this time, because it is no value to me to get 120.00 bucks.

They have committed, fraud, breach of contract, and many more causes of actions. The D.A. said she had been getting more and more complaints about ifriends, and now she thinks it is the right time to shut them down with the FTC's help. Bye Bye I friends, I hope every last one you spend at least two years in jail. Yes, that does mean employees if Ifriends, their models, all face criminal charges because you should have known they are a fraudulous company. Employees: Get out now, that will show the D.A. you got out for the right reason, and you'll just get a slap on the wrist. Those stay, must bear the risk of at least 2 years in jail.

They did not scam me!!!

I too was once an affiliate of Ifriends aka click cash. I never had any problems with them. I always got my checks as I had them fedexed to ensure speedy delivery. I really enjoyed working with them and anyone who says they are a scam is somehow breaking the rules. If you read the clickcash website (www.clickcash.com) terms and conditions they are very strict on spam and any illegal traffic or anything along those lines. Anyone that say that clickcash or ifriends is a scam are the exact people that we fight day in and day out for illegal forms of advertising. I do infact have some friends that had the same problem with ifriends (clickcash). They had their accounts canceled and forfitted their earnings. However they were spamming the website. As for the fake check, that looks exactly like the checks I recieved every week for a year. If you are looking for a legite affiliate company inwhich you want to legally advertise for use them. They are great. I was referred to them and I would reffer people to them anyday.

I Agree With Mike Too... an issue of deception on their part pertaining to their webcam employees

IFriends, WPI, Clickcash affiliate programme ripoff, non-payment Miami Florida

Well Mike join the club... I was once an affiliate of iFiends myself... They owe me $150 dollars and even though I've written them about this in the past several times, I've never once gotten a reponse or a reply back... To be honest, I hope you did report them and that the D.A. with the help of the F.T.C., she can and will shut them down... I've long since closed out my affiliate account there and I won't bother doing any business for them again whatsoever... Not to mention an issue of deception on their part pertaining to their webcam employees... But I mean what's a few hundred dollars to a company that pulls down in a conservative estimate 6 six figures every day?!? Sheesh... I wish you all the best Mike...

How big of a hole are you going to dig?

You have all now seen how risky affiiate marketing is. They went to that much trouble to design a phony check, that was "lost."

I will let the people decide. I'm 41 years old, I have never had a piece of mail "lost" with one exception, and of course, that is affiliate programs. Coincidence? I think not. At least 5 other affiliate companies I've dealt with have said my check "must have been lost in the mail."

The affiliate companies who are legit normally, if not always, send me an email stating how much I earned, and when the check will be sent.

Ifriends did not do this. I suppose they could phony up an email "proving" that they did, but trust, me, they had no intention of paying me.

Ifreinds has done exactly what I previously told you they would do.

Quote from previous rebuttal by me:

"You did no such thing. You paid me nothing. If you'd like to say "I am sorry, we were mistaken, we will send out a check immediately." will that help your case? That just shows you actually never did pay, which is one of the major issues of my complaint."

Instead of acting EXACTLY as I thought they would, they have in effect acted EXACTLY with different words, i.e., "Your check was sent, here is proof of it." Who takes copies of checks before they mail them?

As far as the other nonsense goes, please know that Clickcash uses a form post method to contact them. Therefore, I cannot find the actual message
I sent, since it was sent using their server. But, here is the exact reply I received after asking for payment:

Dear ClickCash Webmaster,

Your account, referenced in the subject of this e-mail, (as well as any related
accounts) consistently score in the lowest-performing decile in each of our
performance-measurement statistical measurement categories that are used to
assess the quality and satisfaction of the customers you have introduced
to the service.

In our experience, such substandard performance metrics are usually the
result of either a.) substandard quality of traffic, or b.) use
of advertising approaches and marketing messages that are inconsistent
with the product or service advertised.

As such, we have elected to close your ClickCa$h account. Thank you for
trying out ClickCash. We regret that your traffic and/or customer referrals
were not a good fit for ClickCash websites.

Wishing you best of luck in your future webmaster endeavors,

Sincerely,

Stacy Michelle
stacy@clickcash.com "

No mention that I was paid. Why do people take copies of checks they send? Do they anticipate them to be lost in the mail?

You needed to show the check was endorsed by me, and processed by my bank, and yours. You sir, have failed miserably in this quite simple task.

Proof of the paid affiliate check

Here's a copy of the check (including the true sequence number confirming its authenticity) that we sent to Mike on Feb. 6:

And here's what we specifically told Mike in email sent to him on Feb. 14, prior to his termination as an affiliate:

"Per the FAQ and the Terms and Conditions that you signed and agreed to, checks are not released for commissions until you send in a signed and completed Terms and Conditions. The check was released on 2/06/05 which is the first pay period after you sent in the Terms and Conditions."

(Unlike other marketing programs, we require a returned signed agreement with our affiliates in which they acknowledge compliance with our strict UCE Spam policy.) If Mike did not receive his check, he simply needs to contact us and to request a stop payment and issuance of a new check. We'll be happy to issue proper payment to him again.

As for Mike's statement that we sent him email which "states exactly why no payment was or WILL be made to me" -- Mike must be referring to our email to him on Feb. 14 which advised him that we "noticed 2 of the 3 accounts established under your clickcash account were under your name. Further violations of this will cause immediate termination of your account." (In other words, he was padding his affiliate account by primarily signing himself up.) Although we terminated Mike's affiliate account for that and other good cause, we not only paid him for the one bona fide sign-up he produced -- we even paid him as well on the two personal accounts he improperly created on iFriends to falsely inflate his affiliate account's productivity. We're not sure why Mike has cause for complaint when the affiliate program pay out to him of $120 was literally more than 10x the revenues he produced for our retail services.

No scam, no fraud, and no deceit.

Clarification To IFriends rebuttal

Ifriends write:

"Mike" was in fact paid the $120.00 he claims is owed to him. WebPower, Inc., which owns and operates the iFriends service, issued a check to him for that amount on February 6, thirteen days prior to his Rip-Off Report posting.

-----------------------------

This is exactly the type of fraud and deceit I was talking about. Let me stress again: I have years of experience in affiliate marketing and will NEVER send may best traffic to a site that has yet to pay me. Had they paid me (I can't believe they have the gall to say they did, I have the email that states exactly why no payment was or WILL be made to me) I woulf have increased my traffic, and quality of traffic. As other affiliate marketers know, quality traffic is usually bought by Google or any other CPC program. No payment from affiliate, no "paid for traffic" is sent. I only have one request from Ifriends, please produce any evidence that you have that can prove, or even make it reasonable to believe you paid me 120.00.

You did no such thing. You paid me nothing. If you'd like to say "I am sorry, we were mistaken, we will send out a check immediately." will that help your case? That just shows you actually never did pay, which is one of the major issues of my complaint.

Rebuttal to IF's Affiliates program

#9UPDATE Employee

Wed, March 02, 2005

The statements made by "Mike" on the RipOff Report regarding iFriends and his experience with the iFriends affiliate program, are inaccurate and mistaken, and, in a number of respects, extremely malicious.

"Mike" was in fact paid the $120.00 he claims is owed to him. WebPower, Inc., which owns and operates the iFriends service, issued a check to him for that amount on February 6, thirteen days prior to his Rip-Off Report posting.

"Mike's" affiliate account was not shut down when he emailed our company asking for his check, as he claims. Following notification to "Mike" on January 31 that his affiliate account was under review by our company because it was consistently scoring in the lowest decile on every one of our quality and consumer satisfaction metrics, his account was terminated on February 15.

The affiliate program associated with iFriends, widely known as ClickCash.com, is neither a "new" affiliate program nor is it a "scam," as "Mike" recklessly asserts. To the contrary, ClickCash is in fact one of the first and most long standing affiliate programs on the internet. Since inception in 1996 (which makes our affiliate program a virtual dinosaur), ClickCash has paid out tens of millions of dollars to tens of thousands of satisfied third party affiliates. Likewise, WebPower, Inc., the owner and operator of both the iFriends and ClickCash services, has been a member in good standing of the Better Business Bureau since 1995, and is well-recognized as an industry leader in the development of model consumer best practices in its internet business segment.
