After Ross posted the above RipOffReport complaint, we were able to locate his account with iFriends. Ross created his iFriends account in February of this year. When he created his account, he affirmatively chose to enroll in the upgraded iFriends VIP membership when he created his account. This membership carries a monthly charge, for which Ross was billed.

On April 19, Ross utilized his iFriends account to participate in a premium access chat room, which carried a per-minute charge. The per-minute charge was clearly and conspicuously displayed before Ross entered the room. In order to access the chat room, Ross participated in numerous click-throughs to indicate his acknowledgement and consent to the per-minute charge. Because of Ross's participation in premium access areas, his credit card was charged at the agreed-upon rate. The charge was initially declined by his bank, and was not processed by his bank until April 26.

After receiving the charge, Ross contacted us by email to ask about the amount of the charges. We responded to his email on the same day that he sent it, and explained that his use of the premium access chat room was billed to his card. Ross replied and asked for more details regarding his activity. We responded to this email, again, on the same day, and provided him with a detailed record of his activity on the iFriends account. Contrary to Ross's recollection, he was not billed after he cancelled his account. The charge for Ross's usage on April 19 was processed by his bank on the morning of April 26. Ross cancelled his iFriends account later that same day.

If Ross has any further questions, we strongly encourage him to contact us via email or by phone at 1-800-437-4363. Our Customer Care Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we will be happy to help him resolve any questions.
