IGIA ripoff fraudulent liars continue to steal New York New York
I too am a victim of this company. I have been trying to get my money back since Thanksgiving '05 after ordering the storm vac in August.
The people have lied, stolen, and broken promises to all of us. I don't understand how they can continue to do business. Unfortunately, the BBB, Attorney General, and Department of Agriculture has not been any help to me.
I have considered talking to a lawyer, but would need many people to agree before they would probably take a case and we probably wouldn't get much of a return. I am considering flying up there and visiting the local police station and warning them that I am going in to take action. Problem is I'd probably be the one ending up in jail.
I do have a friend who is huge. Won the local strongest man competition in the early 90's. He is a very imposing person, but I don't want to jeopardize his reputation and livlihood for $100.
These people need to be stopped. I can't see how they can obtain a business license anywhere while literally STEALING people's money. They have actually comitted a felony by virtue of ripping off all of us. We once had a person in our restaurant who was changing customer's credit card amounts and although each occurance was only $5-$20, when they were all added up they were over the limit. There is a certain thing called INTEGRITY which every business and it's employees are supposed to follow, and I think every one of their employees could be liable for this fraudulent activity.

Well, much to my amazement, I received a check from IGIA. I am not sure what worked, but here is what I did.
I contacted the N.Y. attorney general. I contacted my state's, Florida, attorney general and they turned me over to the department of agriculture which I assume deals w/ commerce.
I contacted the police station near their N.Y. address I found on mapquest. I sent a complaint on rip off report that said I was going to send my really BIG friend in there to threaten them.
In any event, I did get my money back, but it took from October to July.
The really good news is the check didn't bounce.
