Ignacio Gomez did some paver work for me in 2010. At that time he was able to complete the job in a very reasonable time, and did excellent work! When I wanted to do some more paver work in October, 2016 I called him for an estimate. He quickly answered his phone and came out on the same day for an estimate. Like 2010, I paid him a down payment of half of the total job. This is where the disaster began!

He took weeks to clear landscape rocks for the paver instal, often showing up at 4pm for an hour or less. He had a crew build a wall in the front yard which was the only good part of this experience. Time continued to pass as in weeks with little or no progress to include paver material. This was a 11k job so obviously I was concerned. I then googled and yelped Ignacio and to my dismay it seems he has been doing this around the west valley.

Recreation vehicles sat in my front yard waiting for pavers to be installed through Christmas! Finally a delivery of pavers came in January and the back yard area was completed leaving the front yard to be done. His paver installer indicated to me that Ignacio hasnt paid him and that he would finish the job if I paid him. I advised him that I gave Ignacio half down and this arangement would not be in my favor.

I gave Ignacio a deadline date of January 15th 2017 to complete the job to which he apologized for the delay and indicated this was a reasonable time deadline and he would meet it.

As of February 18, 2017, the front yard remains untouched! Paver sand was put down for the front yard but no pavers! Ignacio responds now only by text with a standard reply of "sorry for the inconvenience" along with his apologies.

Today I have terminated my contact with Ignacio and have hired another "licensed" contractor to finish the job!

Fool me once, shame on you

Buyer beware, this unlicensed contractor is bad news! He will not complete the job and most likely will run with your money!
