I went to work for IGT enterprises on 3/26/08 as a telemarketer and the first day was lovely. They showed me around the facility and the enviornment was great. There was a complimenty kitchen where you can make your own food and snacks for free. I talked to three of the six employees and everyone said this a great place to work. I saw the red flags the first day I went in because the doors were locked and I had to knock to get into the office. As someone peeked through the crack in the door and said who is it I was finally let in. I also heard someone say "ain't nobody getting in here unless they have a search warrent". I took it as a joke at that time but I kept my eyes open.

The receptionist asked me if I was going to work one day and quit because that happens a lot and I told her no because this seems like a nice place to work. The second day 3/27/08 was when I found out how this place really operates. There was a banker from Charter one on the premisses setting up accounts for direct deposit so I was told that's how we would be getting paid from now on. So I set up a checking account and five minuts later Karen the owner came in and told me and another girl that we needed a deposit to open the account and she would pay it for us. Ok, a few minuts later she came in with papers for us to sign stating she deposited $600 in our accounts that we can't touch for 4 weeks. I asked her why and she said it was a pay advance and also we would get paid biweekly instead of weekly like I was initially told. I didn't say anything but I found this very strange for her to deposit this large sum of money into my account and I can't spend it.

After that I quit and told the supervisor to tell her not to deposit any money in my account unless it the one and a half day's I worked for. This business seems like a front for some kind of scheme she has going on. She also told us that she has a contract with someone at Charter One bank to do some kind of work and we should stick with her through the ruff times. First of all I don't know her personally to stick with her and I didn't come ther for that, I just wanted to work and get paid that's it. I'm out gas and toll money for nothing and I still don't know if I'm going to get paid for the day's I worked there.

This employee worked a total of less than 6 hours but she decided something wasn't right with the way we are!!! She was treated very good. and YES, Offered something to eat and drink during her shift on the first day. shame on us!!!

On the second day she was asked by a bank representative to open a bank account. The bank rep, did not realize she had just started and she was not in the group getting accounts set up that day. Of course this employee signed up. When i was going over the deposits with the banker, (it was a special promotion from the bank but the account had to be opened with a minimum of $500. We offered it to some of our long term employees) and I realized that we were depositing five hundred dollars into an account for someone I barely knew, I immediately made arrangements to freeze the funds in the account to establish the relationship with this very new employee. The bank would freeze the account for three weeks and on the fourth week she would then have that paycheck to pay us back and she could then use the money. This girl didn't get it. After complaining that we got paid every other week not EVERY week, she just kept insisting on why are we holding her money. WHAT MONEY? We were telling her we were holding OUR money.

All of this doesn't really matter because she did not qualify to have any bank account and the account could have never been open.

Her disgruntle started with the fact that she was not going to get a paycheck every week. She also has another job at a Block buster video store which was her prioity. I am thinking this must be a managemnet position, no she is a counter clerk working part time. My advice to her was if she liked the work she doing with us, to stick with IGT, because there is room to grow with us. She could get benefits like insurance, full time employment, and more by sticking with us.

IGT is a business to business service company. We are an outbound-inbound call center. We do no telemarketing. We have accounts that look for us to handle all inbound sales and customer service calls as well as helping business go thru leads and find custmers leads thru purchased lead sites.

Its disappointing that when you are setting up your business and setting your company values, wanting to offer a good environment for all the people that will work with you, and it comes time that you need to hire staff, that the quality of one individual would go to this length to try and discredit an employer that could have given her a longterm and prosperous work relationship. Instead all the niceness we extended to her was "fishy". So I guess we need to be strict and selfish with our new employees to make her feel better.

IGT IS NOT VIOLATING ANYTHING OR ANYONE! We are looking for individuals that want to grow with us, that like to ENJOY their work experience and like their employer to do nice things for them. Tomeka, stay working at Blockbuster.
