This is a copy of the mail I sent to IHOP:

Do you realize how hard is to get home at 11:00 pm after work, and that your wife and your kid ask you to take them to the closest IHOP, to buy some pancakes?, and that the only thing I got was to get hit really hard on my back by one of your employees, her name is Deborah Okutuga, She hit me after a threw a couple of menus TO THE FLOOR, after she told me in a very nasty way that my 8 years son had to get out of the restaurant because he was on pajamas and on socks with no shoes in the middle of the night?. She hit me really bad and of course It was unexpected, the pain in my back, my neck and my head is getting worse, and guess what? Not only the shift manager Kimberly Nicholson never showed up, but after I call the police I got a restriction order, so if I ever go to the same Ihop I get arrested. I did present charges already against your employee, but what about IHop?, is that the kind of people you have working, I mean, It's a such a great place, whenever I can afford it I go there and get a burger or pancakes for my close ones, did I have to be humiliated in front of my family, employees, and customers? I don't even have health insurance by now, you know, I'm not a complaining kind of guy, but I know there is something that It can be done about this legally, It's just that I'm so upset and in pain right now. I wonder how much you care about your customers. I didn't deserve that, and worst of all, my kid didn't deserve to watch his Dad being assaulted by one of your employees. He doesn't understand anything, he's afraid that I was going to jail. I'm so fustrated, you need to be a parent to understand how I feel right now.

I was just reading this and am in no way affliated with anyone in this report or live in this state, but I was just thinking how sad it is that people should be allowed to be accused of something publicly without being convicted of a crime or having a post with the other parties involved side of the story.  Personally from what I have read I think there is more to this story that the individual is not telling.  This is shameful that this person was allowed to list full names and jeopordize the safety of these individuals and allow future harassment.

Who wants to know what really happened?

As the previous person stated something is not adding up. If you ask anyone that has worked with me, or comes in to patronize the restaurant they will tell you I am one of the sweetest people they know. Luis Zelaya comes into the store with his wife, and child. The child has no shoes on. My manager tells him he can't bring his son into the store with no shoes on. He ignores her (I think because she was a women). He then proceeds to me and tells me, he wants me to take his order. I say, '"Sir I can't take your order, until you put shoes on your son, or take him to the car, and then you may place your order." It is clearly stated in our handbook, "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Pants, No Service". He ignored me, "Another co-worker steps in, and says the exact same thing, he doesn't listen. My manager walks up to him, and says Sir you need to leave the restaurant. I am 4'11 120, Luis Zelaya is 6'2 at least 240. This man takes the menu's and throws them at me in front of his wife, and in front of his child (setting one heck of an example for them), they hit me in the leg. I intend to grab his arm, but get his shirt instead and say to him, in front of his family
"Never, in your life do you hit a women". He calls the police and says I did a jumping leap, kick and docked him on his back. The customers in the restaurant as well as my co-workers tell exactly what happened, and he is barred by the police from the premises. Luis Zelaya goes to the police station, and presses charges. I end up having to resign behind it, the company also settled out of court, because he threaten to go to the media and make this a racial thing (keep in mind I am black american, and he is hispanic). I have put this incident behind me, until I ran across this site, and thought what a perfect oppurtunity to the the truth.

Just don't add up

Luis,

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but it just doesn't add up. The sign on the door says "no shirt, no shoes--no service" doesn't say not in effect after 11 PM. Also, I'd like to know what you did. If the police were called and gave you the restraining order, then you must have done something. Or at least the evil restaurant employees said you did something. And the cops believed them more than you. As for the hit, it seems if it was hard enough to cause back & neck pains and headaches, then there should have been a red mark or bruises or something that you could have shown the police. So, what's the rest of the story that you're not telling us?

Oh and one more thing. I hate to break it to you but you are "a complaining kind of guy" or this post would not be here.
