IIMA Karate Dishonest contractual billing. Continues to charge after service ends. Ripoff! San Marcos California
We notified tihs karate school of our intention to cease classes after the year contract expired. They took a 13th payment and then promised to give it back. I have e-mails from them stating that they would return the excess payments, that the check is in the mail, etc, etc. It has now been 4 months and they no longer return my calls or e-mail.

Two kids and love the studio, and amazing instructors who really make a positive impact on the kids lives. Recommend highly.
After introductory period, there is a contractual agreement and as a customer I set the time, with monthly payments, and there is a commitment, and the longer the commitment the lower the monthly rate per child for the time period. The contract is a business contract, and therefore and obligation of the customer to fullfill there side of the contract for services provided. So if the person has not moved out of the area, or had extraneous events(they are great people who run the studio who understand human events of life), and as a parent has not assured of the timeline and child's commitment(not the parent's), then the contract still stands, and you do need to pay for the agreement you made for services. My kids are always aware of when we sign a new contract and they have agreed to the timeline. Contract states and is very clear of financial obligation when you sign, and it there a places to initial and they go through it for you to understand obligation and options.
Very Honest business, and are there for the kids growth in our community, and community based owner. They even have scholarships available at times.
