ILD Teleservices Direct Dialed Calls Charged my telephone bill Windstream Communications ripoff Dalton Georgia
ILD Teleservices charged my telephone bill with Windstream Comm. in Dec. 2006 and Jan. 2007 $12.95 each month for V Mail Mth Fee says billed on behalf of Nations Voice Plus. I never ordered or asked for this charge. This is fraudulent charges, I called 1-800-433-4518 and stayed on line for 21 minutes and my call was never answered. I wanted these charges stopped and a refund to my account. How can I stop this if I can't get through to them.

with this company. I have never had service with them now or ever and I have moved to another state from where the bill first started. So I finally called up and spoke to some customer service rep who did not get it. I told her that I am now living in another state and you are billing me still. She said we are billing you on the phone in south carolina. Well, I am living in Maryland now so why are you billing me? She did not respond. But she will close the account and I told her that I will dispute the bill. I have no intention of paying for something that I did not order nor have ever used. and I have not had a home phone in over two years only a cell phone. typical company.

The "Voicemail" Charge on your bill most likely came from you clicking on a pop-up on the internet that was offering you something that interested you. In the small print disclaimer that would have come up after clicking on that pop-up it would have told you that, by clicking you had agreed to whatever the charge may be. I do agree that that is a shady practice that ILD, Integretel, and numerous other companies participate in because the heat falls back on the local phone carrier, Windstream, who is required to bill for the charges. Since you didn't read the disclaimer from the pop-up, I doubt that you read your Windstream bill either. On there you will find a contact number for ILD. They WILL stop future billings of the charge. If you insist on speaking with a Windstream rep, call 1-800-347-1991, we can remove the current charge but we can't stop future charges.
The charge is YOUR FAULT. It's not something that Windstream put on your bill because we felt like making 12.95 for another company (ILD). If you had a 21 minute wait when you called in, it's either because you called on a Monday or Tuesday or the call center was just unusually busy, probably with other people who are mad because they click on things on the internet without reading them first.

Unfortunately you probably aren't going to be able to stop furture charges even if you do get in touch with ILD, but you can contact Windstream whenever you do get the charges and dispute them.
When you dispute the charges they are reversed from your bill and ILD has to either drop the charges or bill you themselves. If they bill you themselves then you again have the right to dispute the charges. I was told that the reason the ILD charges were there is because someone in my household had signed up for something "free" on the internet and this charge was in the small print.
It is a pain, but check you phone bill every month and be careful what you or even your children sign up for on the internet.
