ILD Teleservices, Inc. This company began charging me $13.86 on my Verizon bill in October, 2007. I didn't catch it until December so, luckily, only got charged twice. I am notifying verizon of this problem and telling them I will not be Paying that charge again. They cannot shut off phone servoce while this dispute is going on. I am also notifying the Florida Attorney General's Office to file a complaint. Ponte Verde Florida
In October of 2007 I was charged $13.86 by a company called ILD Teleservices, Inc. I did not notice this charge until December, 2007 as I was preparing my budget for 2008. I now have been charged a total of $27.72; luckily, I was able to change my check amount to Verizon for the December bill.
I am notifying Verizon by mail that I will no longer be paying this charge. They cannot shut off my phone service while this matter is in dispute. I am also notifying the Florida Attorney General's office in the hopes that the person/persons responsible can be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It is my hope that others will do the same and get this thing moving in
Florida.
Obviously, I have no idea where this charge came from or how they managed to get my personal information. It is another Internet scam out of many, many more and it is sad that such a wonderful tool as the internet can be abused by such ripoff artists.
In future, I will be even more careful of e-mails sent to me; I now do not open any e-mails from people or companies I do not know and will be much more vigilant from hereon.
