Added the following charges to my SBC telephone bill saying that I requested their services (noted below) when I signed up for free grocery coupons

4-01 12-22 RESIDENTIAL VOICEMAIL SETUP
FEE: 15.74
4-02 1-05 RESIDENTIAL VOICEMAIL MONTHLY
FEE: 13.22

Total Itemized Charges and Credits 28.96

Government Fees and Taxes
4-03 Federal .87

When I called ILD Teleservices, they refused to reverse the charges. I called SBC who said that they would return the charges to ILD Teleservices. SBC called them "thieves".

I got burned with charges too, only I did not order anything. After researching I learned that someone signed up for grocery coupons. I contacted SBC and wrote to California Public utilities Commission (CPUC). SBC had the charges reversed with no problem. I gave them information that I researched as well the CUPC giving my copy of the complaint. Within a couple months credits did show up on my bill. I never received a direct bill from those scammers.

When someone receives an offer for free groceries people will sign up and agree with the terms and agreement with out reading it. Hidden in the T&A is an agreement to pay for voice mail service and no refund will be issued. As far is the FTA is concern, it is FRUAD.

The company you tried to get of hold of is the billing company. They do business with scammers. Contact them and ask them to give you the number that hired them to bill you. Also make sure they close the account they set you up with or they will continue to charge you. I wish you luck. RSW
