Illum Skin Cream False advertising & hidden auto-enrollment program Internet Internet
Saw the internet ad on Facebook which offered a Free Sample of a skin care cream just for paying shipping. Should not have fallen for it, but figured that I am smart enough to carefully read all of the fine print. Well, not so much. A second offer came up during check out that offered an eye cream also for the same deal. I agreed to that also. Expected to pay about $10. for the two products. I went through a couple of times to make sure what it said about any "terms" and didn't see anything to read. I did check a box to admit I was 18 or over. But that is all I saw. I watched my account and did see two charges for $4.97 and $4.95. No problem. Two weeks later saw two more charges for $93.80 and $94.77! Problem.
Called company and asked for explanation. Said I wanted refund of the extra charges. They said I agreed to cancel if I didn't want to join and pay for more. I did NOT agree. And if I did, it was hidden somehow. Would never have agreed to join. I have seen numerous complaints on Facebook and the internet about this company! I am working to get my money back and I am not giving up.
