Complaint Review: IMG Insurance

I had a very bad experience in dealing with IMG insurance for insurance reimbursement. It took almost a year of follow-up, escalations and at the end they did not make me whole on my claim. Here are some of the challenges I faced with them -

1. Each time you call, the phone associate gave different information. Seemed like a delay tactic to not pay the clients

2. After a few months they ask you to get the itemized bill from the hospital. They don’t request this upfront, but instead several months, just to delay the payment

3. I escalated the matter to their CEO Todd A. Hancock via email and letter. He did not have the basic courtesy to respond back.

4. I then escalated to their Private Equity Investor and they did not care to respond either.

5. After several months of follow-up again they reimbursement me <20% of what I was expecting. They stiffed me on the fine print.

6. And then they mailed the check in the name of the hospital instead of my name. They then made it my problem to seek reimbursement from the hospital. Now the hospital is refusing to refund me. 

What a shame!

Really, Really bad service, unresponsive CEO, poor treatment of client, and they get you on the fine print. I would not recommend using them for your insurance needs. If you would like to discuss my challenges in dealing with IMG further, contact me at lvmach76@gmail.com
