These
offices all need to be shut down and run out of town! I have been to
this location several times and experienced nothing like what they did
to my husband. Two days ago I took my husband in for a appointment
scheduled at 11:30. He was in the waiting room almost 45 minutes after
his scheduled appointment, despite them insisting he must be there at
least 15 minutes early to 'fill out paperwork'. He was seen and it was
determined that he needed one tooth extracted and one tooth needed a
'deep root cleaning'. $111.00 later, they said to do this it would cost
another 387.00, which we decided would have to be done the following
week when our money was not as tight as it was this week. They sent him
on his way with a prescription for the infection and a prescription for
the pain. Mind you, my husband is 6 foot 4 inches, 425 p pounds and
they told him to take ONE pain pill 'as needed' (Hydroco/Apap 5-500 Tab
W) When I went in to this location in the
past they gave me Extra Strength pain medicine. I called the location
the following day informing them he was in severe pain and his mouth
was swollen worse. They said to give it another day and then call back.
We did. I called today and spoke with a lady who was rude and
augmentative so I called the corporate office (816-994-2440) for
assistance since the manager Toni stated they would not do anything
else since my husband did not 'receive treatment' and that the dentist
he saw 'never gives pain medicine without treatment being done'. I
asked his name so we know to NEVER use HIM again. I asked them why they
would write a prescription for a 425 pound man that is the less than
what they wrote me for the same procedure and I am only 145 pounds? She
had no explanation nor could she seem to comprehend the fact that they
did not consider his size when writing the prescription. I even
explained to her that it is the same as giving a 5 year old a dose and
then turning around and giving a 25 year old the same dose....it isn't
going to work.....despite this FACT, she was argumentative and proved
her and her office's incompetence. DO NOT use Immediadent! Even the
lady at their corporate office agreed with me and said she could not
understand why they have someone on staff that 'doesn't write medicine
unless you receive treatment'. This place is a joke and has a LONG
history of unsatisfied people. Find someone else or you will be screwed
like we were! I wish I would have paid by credit card rather than cah.
I would have filed a chargeback instantly. I demand this location
addresses it's mistake and accepts they screwed up. If I am forced to
take my husband to someone else, this location WILL pay the bill! Our
family dentist is Dr. Sexton, unfortunately he could not see my husband
yesterday however when I called his office they confirm they receive
tons of complaints about this location all of the time. They even
agreed that they did not take into consideration his size or weight
otherwise they would have written a strong dose and increased the
amount for him to take. These dentist are ignorant and incompetent.
They must have gotten their license from a box of cracker jacks because
even I know what they did was wrong and makes NO SENSE!

My husband was taken to the hospital ER and the doctor who saw him was amazed at the story we told them. He confirmed that the dentist wrote a antibiotic that was not very good and indicated there were many others they SHOULD (not could, SHOULD) have chosen among the fact the "dentist" did NOT consider the weight of my husband when prescribing his medicine. He recommended speaking to a attorney and that we should demand a full refund. He also wrote something for us for our records confirming the statement above. The ER doctor prescribed my husband 2 antibiotics and a pain medicine that would help. We have been home from the ER for about 1.5 hours and already my husband is feeling better with the medicine he prescribed.
