When I googled "Immigration & Naturalization" to file a simple green card renewal, this was the first site that appeared.  It looks just like an official government website, and charged $129 to e-file the renewal.  I believed I was paying the government fee for the renewal.  What they don't explain is that the "real" immigration service will then charge it's own processing fee.  In fact, the government does not charge anything to e-file the renewal and it can be done very easily from their own website.  Immigration Direct claims that they are not posing as a government agency, but rather offering a service that attorneys would apparently charge much more for.  However, as a native English speaker, who has been in the US for 13 years and holds an MBA from a US university, I do not need assistance or support to file a VERY simple form.  Some people do need assistance...I get that, but I have dealt with the immigration service many time and always found them knowledgeable and extremely helpful.   If they truly are not trying to rip people off, then they should make their website very clear and explain to consumers exactly who they are.  The use of the American flag backdrop and the general layout is a clear misrepresentation!  Immigration Direct....do the right thing!
