Complaint Review: Imogene's Showdog's - Imogene Hines

 After my last dealings with Imogenes, I no longer have positive comments about her business practices. I paid $1500 for a puppy from her. She did not send the puppy with the shipper. We went back-and-forth on the situation and I finally agreed to fly out there and get the puppy. When I got there imogene said she ship the puppy which she did not do, a full on lie and said the puppy got sick during shipment, another lie, and that she spent thousands of dollars trying to keep it alive, another lie, and that the puppy died.

Then she told me and my daughter as we stood in her living room she wasn’t going to give me another puppy unless I paid her again. (I saw the brindle male out in her kennel) I was in shock that she even fathomed the idea I would believe this ridiculous story. (What a crazy mind.) I agreed to give her another $1500. Because I had come so far, I couldn’t leave empty handed with my daughter. She just Came across rather crazy, elderly and not all mentally there.

After flying out there renting a car and bringing my daughter for a positive experience which turned into a hell filled adventure. I wanted to get a van and come and buy all the puppies she had just to get them out of there, but I couldn’t justify giving that woman another dime . I sever our relationship and this was the end for me . After the friendship and deals I had worked with her she was going to do this to me?! (People that are self sabotaging are the worst because they take you down too.) The puppy’s I had to choose from, She was keeping them in the garage. they were eating their own diarrhea. I told her but she was just use to it and no big deal.

I couldn’t breathe when I was in her garage I was choking back the pneumonia in the air and I could barely be in her kennel without my eyes and throat choking up. It was so bad my daughter couldn’t go in the kennel she could only spend a few minutes in the garage. Imogene it’s time to retire. Retire before you cause anymore damage to your once great reputation. (Write a book on the care and secrets of frenchies. Before you loose your mind.) very depressing to see this once highly respected Breeder go down like this.

Dont listen to the reports in regards to Imogene's on this site that is a rip off. It is a bully site for jealous looserS. I've been bullied on this site as we'll. I would jump hurdles for one of imogenes show dogs. Her reputation is the best and any negative statements are crap. I fully recommend and do to this day recommend Imogene's dogs. This is to the people that have been ripped off by this nasty lying person. Oklahoma has very strict laws espicially here in Bartlesville, OK. The police here will take the law to the fullest extent to try and destroy or make a person pay for their crimes. In order for you to get back what u are rightfully obligated you need to call the Bartlesville police dept at 918-337-1000 and ask for the investigations dept.


The way oklahoma law is, is that no crime can be filed on without the police doing an investigation and the police dept are the once that have to refer the case to the district attorneys for criminal prosicution. I guarantee it that once they hear your story not from just one person but from 2,3,4,5 god knows how many people she screwed over they will defadentally be some action. Also I just did a little investigation of my own and she was taken to court back in 2003 for refusing to give a buyer the AKC papers on the dog. I purchase a male Frenchie from Imogene.
My vet said he was in bad shape and his heart did not sound good and he had a severe elongated palate.
Imogene offered to take him back and refund my money after she sold one of her pups. I shipped him back to her. Then she turned ugly on me. She accused me of starving the dog and so on. It looks like she has quite a few complaints on here. I was quite new in the breed and didn't know any better. I too figured since she shows dogs that she was a good breeder.
She is nothing but an Oklahoma puppy miller.
She kept my money and the dog. I heard the dog died 6 months after he returned to her because of his bad heart. She is a theif and just turns everything around to make the buyer look as bad as she can.

comes around. It sounds to me like you are both puppymillers. Ripping each other off with your overpriced, unhealthy dogs. The same treatment you have been giving uninformed puppy buyers for God know how long. Ha Ha Ha. The only ones I feel sorry for are the dogs.

My so called partner in crime new her and had gone to her place seveal times to help her with her dogs. She had him pick through all her German imports and tell her which to sell and which to keep if she was to get started showing. He also had sold her a male dog to finish in the show ring. He gave her my number and we talked alot on the phone. I had no idea she wouldn't take care of the dog. She seem to really want to do right by the breed. My male had been health checked. Right down to it, don't you think if I was really in the wrong, she would have already had me in court instead of a site like this? All of this is just a waste of time and is just an I this, you that, fight. I only posted a response to have my side read, as there are two sides to every story. She needs to put herself in my place and if she is really so right, we can let the courts decide. Imogene

To the original poster: You are a breeder of Great Integrity? Why on EARTH would you purchase a dog from someone you don't know, sight unseen? Now we know why Missouri has such a bad reputation as a puppy mill state. To the breeder who sold the dog: Oklahoma must be a runner up for puppy mills. Why would YOU sell a dog for breeding to someone you did not know, with no references? Your blood lines must leave a lot to be desired. Both you should do the canine world a favor and STOP BREEDING!

Yes, Rick lathrop, Wila Paige, Higgins, Paige One Bulldogs, I sold you a healthy dog. Yes, you took him to a vet my partner in crime suggested to me for you. That vet only looked at the dog in the waiting room as you owe money to all other vets in the area. Scan his report and post it if you dare. A long palate must me proven under close exam of a dog. You weren't willinng to pay for the proceedure. He did not find a genetic shoulder problem, only suggested it, as it was obviuos there was something wrong with his neck or shoulder. I would say infection from filth by then, wouldn't you? You kept that dog one week before ever mailing me a check. That dog was not taken to a vet for several weeks after paying for him and after several calls to you about him. Not until your husband returned him did he ever mention coughing problems. But the day he retuned home, I took him to my vet, Passing blood full of whips and rounds and an eye puncture plus staff infection from chew and bite marks, and as your hunband Rick replied to me on the phone, he would admit to worms because my dog was kept outside in a gravel run. Also said YOU thought kennel cough, but never took him to vet to find out for sure. Why not? No money? But a caring breeder, right? I am only about four hours away and have not one, but several recorded message from your husband threatening to come TAKE a dog from me or TAKE CARE of me. Let us just go to court!!!!!! The dog DIED at my vet clinic. All documented!! You didn't want you money returned, as stated in your letter. Just another working male. A good breeder? Only the people at the puppy auctions think so, as I recall. Imogene and proud to get out my story.
